To be fair the Ipad is in some ways much more than an oversized Iphone, and in other much less. But the may question that concerns us is Ipad’s as an ebook reader device, can it replace Amazon’s Kindle, Sony’s Reader and the long list of black and white ebook readers already available on the market?

While Ipad’s functionalities seem impressive and in many ways outperform Amazon Kindle’s the truth is that Apple’s Ipad is not an Ebook reader and is missing to main characteristics that would qualify it as an Ebook reader.

The first one is the EInk, while Amazon Kindle does not put any strain in the eyes with the EInk technology, the screen of the Ipad makes your eyes suffer a lot more when reading an Ebook, this may seem like a small sacrifice but for the avid readers this is a major flaw.

Pricing, the price of the Ipad is almost double the price of the Amazon Kindle which makes it less affordable, I’m sure Apple will sell plenty of Ipads but certaibly not as Ebook readers

This slightly bigger than the normal Amazon Kindle (it’s 5.8 inches by 8.3 inches while the entire Kindle 2 measures 5.3 inches by 8 inches with a 6-inch screen) is also bundled with a bunch of PDA-like applications such as a calculator, contacts and scheduler.

But the biggest surprise is that this device comes with a touchscreen and no keyboard at all, only a stylus to work your way through the different menus. This device will also come in several different trendy colors.

Samsung Papyrus Release Date

The Samsung Papyrus ebook reader device was introduced to the public in January during CES, but it’s now doing it’s round in the different fairs and events in Europe with more and more details leaking to the public.

Samsung is aming to do a release of the Papyrus Ebook Reader in Korea in June, to later release it in the UK and then un the USA and the rest of the world

In order toplay music (MP3 files) in your Kindle you need to go to: Menu>Experimental>Play Music OR by pressing {ALT P} in your keyboard. pressing {ALT P} a second time will stop the music.

Music files can be put on the Kindle’s SD card in MP3 format.

If your file is in WMA (windos Media Audio) you need to convert them to MP3 to play on Amazon Kindle (MP3)? in order to do that I used WinFF. {Note: There are probably other conversion tools to use.}

1. Download WinFF – http://www.topdrawerdownloads.com/download/104928 WinFF is a cross platform batch GUI for FFmpeg. It can convert most audio or video files . It includes presets for most common file conversions but it also has the possibility to add advanced conversion options supported by FFmpeg .
2. You need to Install WInFF
3. Then you select WMA files or music you want to convert by clicking add button and browsing your computer to find the music
4. Then select Convert to and from the drop down menu, select MP3 audio only
5. After that select Output folder.
6. And finally press Start Converting
7. Once you are finished you can transfer MP3 files to an SD card and they will play on your Kindle
